Dear students,
Theoretical and practical advances in informatics in the world have made it necessary for organizations to keep up with this change. The need for a qualified workforce equipped with both business and informatics information is increasing in the platforms where almost all transactions are now carried out digitally. Based on this need, the Department of Management Information Systems was opened in 2021 in line with the vision and mission of our university and faculty with a proactive understanding, and started its education journey by accepting its first students in 2022.
As an academic unit, our department aims to meet the needs of the industry, to raise qualified, hardworking and social individuals, and to increase the employment of our students. Our curriculum, which we have created in line with the aims of our department, is structured in a way that is up-to-date, it blends theory and practice, and responds to the expectations of the industry. In addition, we aim to develop our students in line with the requirements of the age by organizing events specific to management information systems, events with successful businessmen and club organizations that will develop their practical skills. In this direction, we fully believe that our graduates will have sufficient knowledge, skills and equipment in the fields of business and informatics, and they will be able to fulfill their bridge duties in the institutions where they are employed.
Although we have all kinds of physical, social and academic infrastructure to realize our goals, the hard work, willingness and motivation of our students on the way to success is also a very valuable for us. Let us always be aware that we will walk together in cooperation on these roads that will lead us to our common goals. Let’s not forget that establishing common goals, motivation and togetherness are the key elements of success.
